It was cold today, plus I was rested from the weekend. A good opportunity to up the pace and see a) how it felt and b) how fast I could go.

Turns out I managed to shave about three minutes off my usual time, which felt great - particularly as I am homing in on that elusive 8 minute per mile pace.

If I can keep this pace up for the rest of the week then I can see about quickening that pace some more - and in particular if I can re-attain the pace of 7:15 that I managed about two years ago when running eight miles.

Work to be done, but the faster pace didn't seem too much like hard work. Maybe putting in the miles is starting to pay off and I have plenty of reserves now.
